Here is a good way to get rid of Thanksgiving leftover turkey, and it is delicious!
Creamy White Chili
1 pound boneless skinless chicken (turkey) breast
1 medium onion chopped
1 and 1/2 tsp vegi oil
2 cans great northern beans (16 oz size)drained and rinsed
1 -14 oz can chicken broth
2- 4 cans chopped green chilies (optional)
1 tsp salt 1 tsp ground cummin
1 tsp ground oregano
1/2 tas blk or white pepper
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
1 8 oz container sour cream
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
1/2 tsp garlic powder (or more , if you prefer)
In a large pan, saute chicken, onion, garlic powder, in oil until chicken is no longer pink.
Add beans, broth, chilies and other seasonings.
Bring to a boil reduce heat, and simmer, uncovered for 30 minutes. Remove from heat, stir in sour cream and heavy whipping cream.
